Dark Cloud over Kenscoff
In a different era, Graham Greene wrote in his novel The Comedians about the dark cloud over Kenscoff. Nearly half a century later, it's still there: the black rain cloud that empties itself on the mountains above Port-au-Prince.
The Comedians. I added the title to the blog post, since several people asked me about it.
It's a good read, typical Graham Greene, but very enjoyable. It gives you a sense of what Haiti's really like and since things haven't changed all that much, it's worth picking up.
